In 2015 Luccas left Brazil and moved to San Diego, California where she picked up a variety of restaurant-related jobs. She worked as a handywoman at a McDonald's, as a cashier at Wahoo's Fish Taco, and as a busser at On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina.

Her Instagram fame began when a photo of Bruna in a bikini, stationed at a grill was posted and went viral in June of 2017.

Bru has landed contracts with many cosmetic and fashion lines, including gigs with Fashion Nova.

For exercise, Bruna enjoys swimming the most out of her regiment, stating,

“I love swimming.

It helps me with my breathing.

It is also great for my arms.

I swim 4 times a week for 1 hour each time.
