About
Here’s Everything to Know About Aisha and Azra Mian, TikTok’s Biggest Twin Creators
TikTok is home to many influencers, but what's adding two more to your following list? Enter Aisha Mian and Azra Mian, two beloved content creators otherwise known as The Mian Twins on TikTok.
The Mian Twins have been blessing our FYPs with aaaall the good stuff from fashion to travel, and if you're not already following them, you will before you even get done reading this story. That said, here's everything we know about Aisha and Azra Mian, because sharing is caring. Thank us later.
Aisha and Azra are identical twins
The Pisces queens just celebrated their 22nd birthdays on February 26th (fun fact: they were born nine minutes apart—one natural and the other through a C-section!), and they are, in fact, spitting images of each other. Being twins is a big part of their online presence, and in an interview with The Good Boys Podcast in 2022, Azra and Aisha revealed a shocking twin secret: “I’ll hug my other sisters and like okay, whatever, but with her specifically, I can’t hug her because I feel like I’m not hugging a presence,” Azra said. Yep, definitely sounds like a twin thing!
Naturally, Aisha and Azra's twindom has made them besties who do absolutely everything together—srsly, they even vlog when they're a part because it rarely happens. But, the girls don't shy away from showing their followers that at the end of the day, they get on each other's nerves—bc sisters, duh—and still have icks about the other.
Back when they were 13 years old, Aisha and Azra were inspired by twin creators The Dolan Twins and Brooklyn and Bailey to launch their own YouTube channel, and in January 2014, that’s exactly what they did! Their channel is full of Get Ready With Me videos, Q&As, and a bunch of travel vlogs, so it's easy to see how the girls have garnered a solid 375K subscribers on the platform.
During an appearance on The Early Late Night Show with Dixie D’Amelio in July 2021, the twins recalled how they skyrocketed to TikTok fame overnight and how it changed their lives. "We didn't really have a following until August of 2020 because one of our videos blew up," they said to Dixie. "It got like 85 million views, and then we went from like, 300K followers to a million overnight."
Before Azra and Aisha moved to Los Angeles, the twins lived in Staten Island, New York with their mom, dad, and two older sisters, Jannat and Jasmina. After graduating from high school, the Mian twins attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, but eventually dropped out after their first year to pursue their social media careers. While in school, Azra and Aisha were taking off on YouTube, posting a number of vlogs showing their outfits, what it's like going to fashion school in Manhattan, commuting to their classes, and their 5 a.m. morning routines.
They're podcast hosts
They grew up in a traditional Muslim household
Azra and Aisha are half-Albanian and half-Pakistani and often talk about the importance of their culture on their various platforms. Although the girls moved out of their family home a while ago, their religion remains an important factor in their life. On their podcast, the twins have talked about celebrating Ramadan growing up, their fasting experience, and how they continue their holiday traditions while living away from their family.
Similarly, Azra and Aisha opened up on The Dhar and Jay Show about what it was like for their parents when they quit school, moved to Los Angeles, and decided to pursue social media instead of getting their degrees. "For my parents it was like, you don't move out till you're married," said Azra. Aisha added: "They kind of moved with the times, which I'm so grateful for because sometimes there are families where the parents might be you know, a little bit more closed off or traditional where they don't want to be open-minded to doing things that are outside of the culture, but our parents were."
Aisha and Azra moved into the Triller Compound house in 2020, which, ICYMI, was basically another version The Hype House, aka a content home in Los Angeles for multiple TikTok creators where the housemates filmed videos together for their social media platforms. Later, the twins starred in the 2021 Facebook Watch reality series House of Creators, which was about all the TikTokers living in the Triller Compound. In October 2021, the twins moved out of the compound and into another Los Angeles home with creators Nate Wyatt and Tayler Holder. One year later, Aisha and Azra officially moved out on their own and now live with each other!
There you have it—all the deets on TikTok's famous twins! Srsly, you are going to want to hit the follow button if you haven't already. Their content is top-notch, and we know you're itching for some fresh faces on your feed.
